An emerging and
talented young artist,
Selina
Napaltjarri
is the granddaughter of a well known artist Polly Napangardi Watson
with whom she learnt to paint and who played an influential role
through Selina's formative years. Her paintings are
highlighted by a visually captivating mass of delicately woven white
dotted sinuous lines, all of which are associated with Jungunpa
dreaming (marsupial mouse dreaming).
Born in Yuendumu in
1973,
Julie Nangala
Robinson is one of five daughters
of well-known Telstra Award winning
artist, Dorothy Napangardi. Since the late 1990’s
while often in the company of her talented mother,
Julie has pursued and developed a creative visual
language all of her own, one which consists of a
fascinating blend of stylised experimentation and
ancient narrative.
Born in 1976 in Alice Springs,
Sabrina Nangala Robinson
is sister of emerging artist Julie Nangala and daughter of Telstra
award winning artist Dorothy Napangardi. Immersed in an
artistic, creative and challenging environment, Sabrina was soon to
emerge as a highly confident and innovative artist in her own right.
Having painted since the mid-1990's, Sabrina's painting style has
developed into one of great technical and precision both of which
are effectively used in the form of fine and colourful dotting and
intricate layering and abstract imagery. |
