Black Seed Dreaming is a classic from Polly Napangardi Watson, ahead of her time in her techniques of double dotting and colour range. She herself was incredibly fine and delicate. I always remember Stephen Culley from Desert Designs visiting the gallery and meeting her. He said he would love to 'bottle her style'. Shopping mainly from op-shops she had a delightful very personal style of putting patterns and colours together. We, at Gallery Gondwana, feel very privileged to have represented her from 1990 and to have known and worked with her during the time Roslyn Premont managed the government gallery 'Centre for Aboriginal Artists' from 1987-1990.
