Eunice Yunurupa Porter
Eunice Yunurupa Porter is an esteemed artist known for her painting and beautiful weaving. She is represented by Warakurna Artists, an art center located near the border of the Northern Territory and Western Australia, approximately 1100 km from any major town. Eunice was born at Wirrkural near Lupul on the Jameson Road out of Warburton Mission. She now resides in Warakurna with her husband's family.
As a young child, Eunice and her family traversed the land that is now recognized as the communities of Mantamaru, Papulankutja, and Irruntju. This deep connection to the land is reflected in her art, which often draws on the stories and landscapes of these regions.
