Bush tucker, particularly after a good season of rain, is abundant growing wild in her countryside of Central Australia.. The artist, June Sultan, has handwritten on the back of the canvas with a diagram of each bush food.

The central circle depicts the campfire around which women, represented by the U shapes are depicted beside their gathering bowls (coolamons) and digging sticks.

June Sultan is of the Kaytetye clan from Barrow Creek in the Northern Territory. She is part of a talented artistic family including musicians and painters.
