In this rather striking work the artist depicts Liru Tjuta (two snakes) which is associated with his traditional country in the Gibson Desert of Western Australia.
It was during the Creative Era when two Liru ancestral snakes (depicted in twisting formation across the canvas) travelled undeground from Papunya west to Nyinmi then onto Jupiter Well in the Gibson Desert of Western Australia, the artist’s traditional country.
